چکیده

ObjectiveThe impact of stent design on venous patency is not well studied. The purpose this study was to investigate the effect material burden endothelial coverage stented segments, which may contribute vessel healing and patency.MethodsSegmented self expanding bare nitinol stents (18 × 50 mm) comprising 5 mm long attached metallic rings separated by 2, 5, or 8 gaps were implanted in inferior vena cava (IVC) 10 sheep. These designed manufactured for purposes study. At six, 12, 24 weeks after implantation animals euthanised vessels harvested histomorphometric analysis. Macroscopic inspection showed only partial with 2 skipped whereas segments totally incorporated into vein wall. Influence of valsartan-eluting stent on neointima formation

OBJECTIVE #ENTITYSTARTX02014; This study is to explore the effect of valsartan-eluting stents on neointima formation after stenting and to elucidate possible mechanisms how locally used valsartan prevents in-stent restenosis (ISR). METHOD valsartan- and carriereluting stents were manufactured by using multi-layer-coated technology. Bare stents, carrier-eluting stents and valsartan- eluting st...

Circulating monocytes and in-stent neointima after coronary stent implantation.

OBJECTIVES The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between circulating monocytes and in-stent neointimal volume at six-month follow-up. BACKGROUND In-stent neointimal hyperplasia is the main contributing factor to in-stent restenosis. There is increasing evidence that white blood cells (WBCs), especially monocytes, play a central role in restenosis after stent implantation. ...
